The D. A. Bowman Story

Dean Bowman started out his homebuilding career in the early 1970’s, and was joined by his brother Jerry in 1978, when they incorporated as business partners under the banner of Dean A. Bowman Construction. From the very beginning, the brothers had a passion for quality in home building and home-owner relationships and built the company on those foundations.

In the decades since then, we have become a premier home builder for the Piqua, Troy, Tipp City and North Dayton regions, serving Miami and Champaign counties. Now known as D. A. Bowman, the ownership has expanded to Jerry’s sons, Alex and Ian, as they have taken on the majority of the day-to-day management. Though we have grown since our humble beginnings, we still are driven by the same values we started with.

From Alex and Ian: We cherish the memories of our Dad, Jerry (1961-2011) who passed away doing what he loved and serving our precious Lord. He taught us that it was not always about having the nicest equipment, the largest jobs, or the most employees, but that it was about our service to the Lord Jesus Christ, leading godly families, loving our wives, and humbly serving others that matters most in life.
